I saw my Mom Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The first two days when I tried to talk to her, she would look at me for a brief minute and then break eye contact. On Sunday, I noticed her looking at me several times while she ate lunch. After lunch my Dad and I took her to the courtyard for a bit. I got her to look at me and told her several times how much I loved her. I also told her how much I appreciated the things she taught me and the things she did for me... teaching me to cook, sew, crochet, strip and lay wallpaper, golf, play bridge (which I never liked but she loved), refinish furniture, love your children, raise your children, made my beautiful wedding gown....the list goes on and on. She kept eye contact the entire time. I BELIEVE she heard me and understood. My friends, please tell your parents what they mean to you while you know they understand and can appreciate it. I promise it will mean the world to them and to you. I have the most amazing mother who I love to the moon and back. I hope she knows it.
