I see a lot of thanks for Veterans, all over the place today. A veteran commits suicide an average of every 80 minutes, every day. Very many military families rely on government assistance to survive. The jobless rate among vets... homelessness... Cant we do better than a parade, concerts and flags? If we have the gall to send them over there, shouldnt we have the humanity to do an appropriate job of supporting them before, during and after the deed is done? Its a good story, without the follow through. While Im at it, lets do a better job of NOT sending them over there... howbout!
