I see the Home Minister Shinde, telling on TV channel today as way of justification that the Police in Washington DC is under Federal Government. That is a false and misleading remark as the police in DC is under the metropolitan authorities. A person of the stature of Home Minister should have checked before accusing Kejri of creating unnecessary controversy. Dont know how many more falsities Congress leaders have to say to bring down AAP govt. DC Metropolitan Police is under DC mayor. In addition to that there are many federal law enforcement entities in DC - Secret Service, US Marshals, Park Police, capitol Police ....with a defined jurisdiction in coordination with metro police. DC Metro police takes care of day to day policing like issuing tickets, petty theft, prostitution etc. They are not in charge of Secret Service , US Marshal which is with Fed. - borrowed from other FB post of my friend
