I shop at Old Navy almost exclusively for my children (Ok, not for Marlie, she loves Justice, but I like the prices at Old Navy better). However, as a shop owner who caters to Plus Size Shoppers AND Small-Large shoppers, I find this unacceptable. As a re-seller I do pay more for the Plus Size items I carry, compared to the exact same item, from the exact same designer/vendor in Small-Large. However, I do not pass the extra cost on to my customers. For me personally, the issue isnt They mark it up for Plus women, and not Plus men but that they mark it up. Period. I understand having a business, and expecting a certain % of profit from each product. But if they spread that small difference across the board, youd hardly notice a difference in the cost of anything. And you, and your best friend can both go shopping, and buy the exact same outfit, in any 2 different sizes, and pay the same amount.
