I showed, raised and trained with Cutting Horses for two yrs. This may look boring if you have never trained and shown Cutting Horses in an NCHA Show. It is an adrenaline rush! You have 2 1/2 minutes to pick out 3 different cows, (one at a time) that you feel will be a good one to fight back to go back to the herd, to show how well you and your horse can keep him out of the herd. Once you have chosen your cow, you must drop your reins and just hold on to the horn on the saddle. You can only control what the trained does with your guidance of your legs pushing on him showing him which way to go. Cutting Horses are well trained and it is a lot more work than it looks like in this video. I loved every second of showing cutting Horses ar NCHA Shows in Houston, Dallas, Kansas City and many other places. Nothing like escaping everything while showing and training Cutting Horses. Only wish I was still showing! Nothing quite like the feeling of escaping everything...when riding and showing horses. Really miss my horses.
