I so appreciate a man that can impart so much wisdom into me when it comes to raising my Eli. One of the key points he made was although hes a boy, dont allow him to take on feminine characteristic, Ill admit I was a little defensive like my baby aint no sissy...lol. Then he explained what he meant & with some of the behaviors I expressed that Eli was doing was in fact that, subtle behavior he may have seen me, his mom, or woman roles on tv do, ie shutting down/not verbalize things and to teach/encourage him with a different approach. Here I am, thinking by giving him a choice was good, but on the contrary boys/men need to learn to confront/verbalize vs. shutting down. So, he just fixed my life for the week, LOL!
