Hi, Few things Ive ticked off. Thought id give you an update! Gyrocopter is like a motorbike that can fly. I was a little apprehensive at the start as I’m not the biggest fan of heights. It was surprisingly awesome once I started to relax and not as scary as I originally thought. Seeing my local area from the sky was just incredible! David whom took me up in the gyrocopter was just so interesting and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more special. Thank you David Canoed 11 miles of the river Spey to make up for the miles that I wasn’t able to walk in July. I managed to canoe from Knockando to Boat of Brig, which was great fun. I couldn’t of asked for a better group around me and I’m looking forward & excited to do the rest in late October. I’ve just got from Boat of Brig to Spey Bay to do then the challenge is completed. Aqua play in Rothes managed to set it up and get volunteers, Thank you Jim and see you soon! I managed to get out diving while the weather was nice and the water warm (for Moray Firth). Got kitted out in a semi-dry suit and was shown how the equipment worked and went over hand signals. I was taken into the sea, to get my flippers on and started by snorkeling to try everything out. The start of snorkeling was fine. When I tried to get up I couldn’t the flippers were to heavy, I started to panic and started to flap about in the water. As soon as my Dad pulled me up I started to cry, for a few seconds I felt powerless and I hated it! I was ready to give up, I then remembered how desperate I was as a child/Teenager to go diving with my dad. I was finally doing it and there was no way I was giving up after a little panic, even if most people had weeks training in the pool before entering the sea. We decided to leave the flippers off but to carry on. Mark and Jackie had an arm each to pull me along as my body kept rolling onto my back. While my dad had to hold onto my legs as they kept floating upwards. Managed to see a crab, a shoal of fish, hermit crabs, sea anemones, And play with a jelly fish before my groin and jaw were into much pain to carry on. Thank you Mark, Jackie and Dad for taking me diving it was a great experience and the sea floor is beautiful.
