I taught her and the guitarist, Jarrod, from Flyleaf defensive driving back in the day. No kidding-true story. I remember both of em being the nicest people and very down to earth folks. We started talking music and the end of class and they told me they were in a band called Flyleaf, which at that time I had never heard of. I thought they were just some local band around the Cen-Tex area. We talked after class for a good while and then I headed to Wal-mart to get some groceries. As I perused the CD section, I saw their CD in the bins and I picked it up. Jammed to it that night and really dug it. Lacey is just so petite but when I heard her vocals on that CD , I was blown away. What a powerhouse singer!! Gotta respect her for putting her role as a mother first before that of her career.
