I think I will never ever have enough of Ladakh. I used to go to Uttarakhand quite often once. But I have been put off the area after they started the mad rush to build all those crazy dams and tunnels. I have seen the immense ecological degradation at Lohrinag Pala and do not wish to see any more of it. I believe that going to such areas means somehow endorsing these foolish projects. Thus, it is Ladakh for me. Apart from Leh, the countryside is still pristine and the only sign of all pervasive development is road-building, which is badly needed there in any case. So, Ladakh, here I come...
