I think a bit differently on this. Both the House and the Senate have ways of removing one of their own, thats a personal choice, and the voters who sent them have the recall to remove them. However, We, the People have no way to remove people who we deem are unfit to serve....and, sitting in Congress, you are a servant of We, the People first, your constituents second....and your Party a distant third. Your oath is to the Constitution...hence, We, the People. We have lost that and need to get it back. Therefore, I propose an alternative to term limits. If over half of the state legislatures agree that a Senator or Representative is not serving the best interests of the nation, they go home and a special election is held to replace them...except none may be sent home during their first full-term.
