I think we need a 21st century, online, global approach to emergency fund raising! Call it Labels Love or whatever! Heres an idea. Approach the Red Cross (etc) to set up an online shop (eBay & google etc major sponsor), then ask the worlds top 10% to donate those designer label clothes & accessories stuck in the back of their wardrobe (Anna & Vogue that includes you) to be auction on the shop world wide. PayPal & major cards to be sponsors & wave 100% transactions fees thru the shop. A major international accounting firm & bank to sponsor & oversee transactions & ensure not 1cent is wasted in Charity Execs lunch & travel (it happens everyday!!!). Then find International Couriers & postal to sponsor the delivery of goods globally. Celebs & Corporations & even Fashion Houses, to promote & support. Leave it to the Red Cross to ensure 100% of profits to go to emergency relief funds.... Its a big ideas globally, but could be individually set up in countries or cities. No need for fancy $1000 plate dinners for the wealthy to advertise their generosity... Just a basic idea to really raise a ton of cash & seriously make it do some good... Ok now ego can make this happen???
