I thought his career was dead when he left the CA Governors Mansion. He wasnt popular, and he seemed pretty irked with the CA legislature. (Congress would obviously be different cuz reasons) But he helped change the way political districts are drawn and how primaries work in CA. If the changes work well over the next few years he could try to claim a lot of credit and rehabilitate his image as a politician. I hate him less than 90% of all Republicans so he has that going for him.
