I thought id put my knowledge of statistical correlations to some use (finally) and ask the following simple question: what is the likelihood that someone who opposes GEO and Hamid Mir is either 1)himself/herself a member of the army or 2) is a son/daughter of someone from the army. I used my Facebook friends list (about 3500 ppl) as my sample and used the inspection method (read snooping into peoples profiles). Results: There is a greater than 90% chance that the person who supports the anti Hamid Mir campaign is directly related to the armed forces. It is also almost certain that the person supports Musharraf (and to a slightly lesser extent Imran khan). Surprised? Im not. Now that I have told all of you that I checked all of your profiles and your friends list you can put me on your custom lists. Thank you for participating in my research (without even wanting to)
