I took Bobby out for his 11 oclock pee. Now, I need to set the scene. It is pitch black dark, and only dim light from the lounge room windows. Anyhoos, Bobster was on the lead and I let him determine where he walks on the chamomile lawn. He led me towards the grape vines where I could see this dark blob. And he lunged, pulling me face forward into the wall of vines. I landed on top of Bobby and the wallaby that he had by the throat. Bobby let out a yelp and I was frantic that I had seriously hurt him. By the time I had extricated myself from the vines and gotten off him, he had shaken the wallaby to death. Bobby was Ok when I landed on him, so that was good. Me, I was shaken up, it was all rather nasty. Sadly, the wallaby was a mama, but the joey was not viable. It has been dispatched humanely, rather than let it slowly freeze to death.
