I totally understand the mandate of the Commission of Human Rights - TopicsExpress

I totally understand the mandate of the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ). It is clearly spelt out to the extent that we have cases where there is a Sole Commissioner clearly states and gives a different perception and mandate of the Commission. Over the years I have heard how their mandate is too overwhelming since they have a triple role to play (Human Rights, Administrative Injustice and Persecution). There have been other school of thought that seeks to suggest for the establishment of another separate Anti Corruption Organisation to handle the Prosecutions. I think it is a very splendid idea but how will this Institution be Corruption Free? How will they be? I suggest for a Special Anti Corruption Unit under the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General. Where we would eventually set up an Anti Corruption Authority (or whatever in the future after we have mastered how to handle Corrution). HOWEVER President Mahama has not been affront and effective as a Head of State with regards to the fight against corruption and it is a plain fact which I am very sad about. GYEEDA, SADA, MINISTER OF YOUTH AND SPORTS CASH SAGA, etc. Even to the extent that a Speaker of Parliament would refuse to take the Presidential oath of office in the absence of a President and his Vice? That act of the Speaker will increase Curruption because ordinary citizens will refer to that even to the extent of the purchase of those CHINESE CHAIRS...... Lawlessness everywhere... God Help Us All!
