I tried to post an update a few days ago, but it disappeared and I was too tired to retype it. :) Dylan is doing great. He had an appointment at the clinic last Friday morning for a CBC. His counts are looking good! Dr. Irwin is going to keep him on the same doses of meds hes been on for the last couple of weeks and they will stay that way unless there are other issues later. Hes been known to develop allergies to meds hes had plenty of times. Im just so glad that he is so good at taking pills! There are some days that he has over 20 pills to take! Yikes! He is finally back up to the weight he was when he started this journey again 17 months ago! That is such a relief. He should be able to maintain a healthy weight now and gain back more muscle. Hes even thinking about joining track this year. Dr. Irwin okayed it and even encouraged it. He knows that he wont be as fast as he was before and probably wont be one of the fastest, but he wants to gain back the muscle and fitness hes lost. :) I just dropped off both the boys with their dad yesterday they will be there for the next couple of weeks. They are going camping this weekend on the lake and Dylan is really looking forward to that. He just took his Boaters safety test and passed so he can now drive the boat legally. No worries though, he wont be out there driving by himself. ;) Monday, the Hoquiam Police Department is hosting lunch for the family and then Dylan will be taking part in a counsel meeting of sorts where he will be sworn in as the Hoquiam Chief for a Day. Well also get to take a tour of the harbor on a tug boat. Ill be getting lots of pictures! The following Thursday is the statewide Chief for a Day event starting at Showare Center in Kent with a motorcade taking the 34 chiefs from the state to the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission in Burien.
