I trust were all familiar with the movie Iron Sky, right? The one about the Moon Nazis and Sarah Palin as the Prez? Well, before that Iron Sky was made, a concept trailer going by the same name was posted to Youtube. Narrated by Derek Jacobi, this video has had me stumped for a while now, but I believe more people need to see this. It holds truth, it holds lies, and it holds fear. Transcript: Edmund Burke defined the sublime as terror recalled in tranquility. I have a new one for you to try: decay is destiny neutered by ice cream and MTV. Our fathers created the greatest nation ever seen. Glorious engine of enlightenment, security, wealth, creation and advancement. An anthem to the proud and the resourceful and the brave. A haven, our homeland. Now? We are rotting. Our corporate strength seeps away like fat leaking from a forgotten corpse. Enemies that once quaked at our shadow now plague us like blowflies. Though pathetically eager to atone for past mistakes are we so sickeningly keen to be inclusive and correct? We have lost the will to lead. Others take our place, our jobs, our markets, our place in deciding the safe course for the world. Do you sleep easy, leaving the fate of the world in the hands of Russia? Does your son want to live under the Chinese sanctuary? The idea of it... Rome was the power for half a millenia we have barely managed a hundred years. We have the power still, but where is the will, the vision. Friends the truth is clear and it is brutal - America must be shocked back into consciousness. The blood must flow back to her vital organs. We must be the ones to save her. So we will stage a piece of theatre, that the world will watch and be astonished by. An act with a message that cannot be missed, that will motivate the population, even those politicians with spines of jelly. There will be bloodshed. And there will be destruction. We cant dwell on that. Force is required to overcome inertia. Think of it not as a revolution, but as a game. America loves games. In ours, complacency will end and the nation will open its eyes to see new heroes emerge, and they will be glad. Let the race begin. youtu.be/yu73CgxdKec
