I urge you to not let your guard down weather wise. While we are in a break between our first piece of energy and our next piece it would be a good time to make plans. We are looking over some of the newest data from models and our severe weather threat goes up tonight. That threat does include the threats of straight line damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, and continuous lightning. Tonight is likely going to be a much more bumpy road that we saw last night. Our cold air wedge is starting to break down. Winds to along the NC/SC boarder are veering around to the South and as the wedge breaks down temps are jumping some 15 degrees or more. The more sun we get the higher the chances for severe weather but even if we do not see sun there are so many atmospheric dynamics coming together over the area that severe storms will still be likely. Stay with us as we keep you safe before, during, and after the storm. DONT PANIC, PREPARE!
