I visited a family friend in the ETMC Trauma unit yesterday, the very same I spent two weeks in two years ago after my wreck. Even ran into the nurses who tended to me while I was there. The experience hit me like a Mack truck. How close was I really to not making it? The whole experience has shaken me, very unexpectedly. No sleep. Nothing but fear. I met the nurses who saved me but left very shaken. I guess that is one more horse I have to get back on. Just did not see that coming. That God for sparing me. It was also the same Trauma unit I saw Andy in after his wreck. A very dark room and memory. We must push forward, regardless of how much it hurts.
