I voted no on the Castor of FL Part A Amendment 3 to #HR10, which requires the Department of Education to develop and enforce conflict of interest guidelines for charter schools receiving federal grants under the bill. Each additional requirement placed on these charter schools increases federal control of education. Previous efforts to increase federal control brought us disasters like Race to the Top and Common Core. I support local, parental control of education. The amendment was not agreed to 190-205.
