I want to make sure were all on the same page. Ive had many questions myself, which Ive been able to deduce over the past couple of weeks through my own due diligence and this group, but I wanted to succinctly comprise all Ive come across under one roof. What should you do?: 1) Keep all paperwork, emails, and correspondence from your VPC, IAL, and anything else you deem appropriate (if youre not sure, keep it!) 2) Keep ALL your receipts (original is better) 3) Take a PHOTO of pcsmypov EVERYDAY (use your iPhone, Android, etc) with the shipping or confirmation number indicating your vehicles movement or lack there of (documentation is key). Take an actual picture of the computer/iPad screen! 4) File a complaint with SDDC IG. sddc.army.mil/Contact/Lists/Contact%20Information/DispForm.aspx?ID=32 (copy and paste that in your browser) 5) Write your Congressmen, your Representative, and your Governor based on your home of record (HOR), not where you currently live. Its really easy! Use the same verbiage for all of them, just change the letter head. Include your shipping drop-off date and local, destination, local of vehicle at time of letter, estimated delivery date, anything else you deem appropriate, etc. IF you send CERTIFIED MAIL with RETURN RECEIPT requested, I believe they are required by law to respond/address. Include your phone # and email. 6) Its questionable whether to file a claim with your insurance agent for the rental expenses. I have USAA, but it appears you may be subject to your deductible. Each person should investigate this themselves. Also, you will need to ask about the effect on you premium. Every case is different and I refer to your individual carrier for questions. 7) Based on what Ive ascertained, DO NOT file a claim and receive payment from IAL if encounter damages on pick up...seems to be bottom dollar and not sure if you can file an additional claim (if needed) with your insurance provider for additional repairs/coverages. I would assume you would be accepting and taking possession of what damages there are. Take a camera with you and document EVERYTHING. If have USAA, see if they can send a representative out there immediately. Please see Patrick McKimmie post below. And Matthew Stephen Reel comment...$50 for molded bumber on an X3. 8) If you feel I missed something, please message me directly and we can edit the post and add.
