I want to preface this post by stating that Nancy Hunter and Fred Hunter do not indorse, or have any input into what I am about to say. They have been adamant about staying above the fray and being very professional about what they say and do when it comes to the #wranglenfr for 2014. But I guess I am more willing to get into the mud. This morning Nancy got a call that she is being fined from the Las Vegas Events which is pushed down by Shawn Davis. Now if you have ever been to a Shawn Davis rodeo you know when it comes to timed event side of the arena he is fine happy. That being said Nancy was fined because Fred stepped into the alley to quick. I am posing the run that they are placing the fine for and you can see that in the camera Fred did not lead Mr. Fuzz in or in any way inhibit the next lady from running. The reason Fred steps out is that at this angle he is unable to see the run but you can see there is a TV that shows the run he stepped out just enough to see her run. This has caused her to be serviced with a fine not from the WPRA or the PRCA mind you but from Shawn Davis. Now there is lots of heat coming from the fines assessed to the top 15 at the #wnfr2014 this year not only in the calf roping but also many in the barrels. In fact Nancy was told that a lot of the ladies got this same kind of fine. But as many of you know the ground was the worst that has been at the finals, the television coverage was below par at best and in many parts of Canada it was not available. Shawn Davis put on the poorest and in many cases very dangerous ground but has the elitist style attitude to issues fines while not repairing the ground in a sufficient and consistent manner . One other thing why I am on the kick the ladies order at the rodeo was all backwards the top girls at the finals ran on the bottom of the ground more often in the ten days then the bottom ladies. You have a greater chance at money being at the top of the ground on good ground but when the ground is as bad as it was to be handicapped by running a greater percent on the bottom is off base when you have come into the finals one, two, or three versus 13, 14, or 15.
