I want to propose that everyone working or living in North Eastern or Marsabit, Moyale & Wajir area to read an article in yesterdays standard newspaper page 10-13. It is about plight of people in some villages of Marsabit. There are carcinogenic deposits leaving people in the affected areas struggling with cancer. The deposits are associated with oil explores in the late 80s. The water around the areas noted is also poisonous containing nitrite and arsenic! If anything these people need a strong voice! For the time we are there lets all voice this until something happens. Do something where you can! Can this place be fenced off for instance? I want to commend Standard Newspaper and the journalist who took time to write the article.
