I want to repost the Education Update that describes the ONLY UV - TopicsExpress

I want to repost the Education Update that describes the ONLY UV nail lamp study ever done in compliance with the international testing standards for UV lamp using the proper UV testing equipment which costs at least $60,000. This is NOT another silly study release by dermatologists using sub-standard testing and incorrect methods. The latest of these silly studies utilized a $170 UV meter that’s not much better than a TOY that anyone can purchase on the internet. This TOY is NOT capable of properly measuring UV output of UV nail lamps. The authors of this latest silly study couldn’t understand why their data was inconsistent… what? Perhaps it’s because they are clueless and have no idea about how to properly measure UV lamps nor do they understand how to design a scientific study. They should be embarrassed and nail techs should be angry that they are unfairly harming their nail business with this deceptive and misleading study. Here are the facts from two of THE most respected UV researchers in the world. The have concluded that UV nail lamps are surprisingly safe the most powerful of them is still at LEAST 11 times safer than overhead sunlight and at LEAST 3 times safer than mid-angle sunlight, which is the sunlight that dermatologist for years has said is much safer and unlikely to cause skin cancer. So, UV nail lamps are 3 times safer than 3:00 PM sunlight and exposure is for 8 minutes or less per hand, twice per month. Clearly, these lamps are safe! If you want to get more info, refer to the DougSchoonsBrain Facebook page. I’ll be posting more info on that page as well. Please share this info widely. We need to put a end to these deceptions. schoonscientific/downloads/Education-Update_UV-Nail-Lamps-Safe_2013-07-09.pdf
