I want to take some time this morning and send thanks where it is due. First to Doug and Lew for their hard work in making this 4th annual home run derby/ exhibition game a success. To both the teams that participated in the game and to the hitters who competed in the derby , THANK YOU. Special thank yous go out to s bunch of people. To all the sponsors, Amy Robinson and Julie Levine , Steve Cromer ,photographer Jamie Embly, Angie Fout who sang the national anthem, our umpires Jimmy Burchill, David Davis and Kenzell Jesse, our shaggers were Flash,Al Doong,Jason Embly, Gordy, Shawn, Dallas, Stevie, John Quest Gess and Troy Stiffler and kids. To the Hagerstown Suns and general manager Bob Bruchey and the city of Hagerstown. To the Korean War veterans for presenting the colors, Marine Corp league for the 21 gun salute and to Kevin Jaye and Justin Langlotz for the ceremonial first pitch and catch. Also to Linda Condo who collects at the gate for us every year. If I have forgotten anyone I want to thank everyone for making this event everything I dream it will turn out to be. Thank you to all of our soldiers present past and future. You are all truly heroes.
