I want to thank everyone that has been praying for me and has been so supportive of me during this difficult time with my heath issues. I went to the doctor yesterday and he has put me on an oral med for my diabetes and an oral med for my cholesterol. Even though my cholesterol is normal, he said it is a precaution that they do for people like me that are at a higher risk for strokes and heart attacks. Also I now have my glucometer and am checking my blood sugars every morning when I get up. The meds will take about two weeks to kick in, just about in time for me to start working 12 hour days again to cover bus driver that will be out until about mid October (besides my regular supervisory job). I go back in six weeks for another set of labs. We will go from there. I also need to attend classes on how to manage diabetes. One thing that I havent shared with many people, but I feel I need to so you understand another reason why I havent been online very much, besides always feeling so tired is that I have been having increasing periods of time of blurry vision. I sit at the computer sometimes and just want to cry because my eyes just drive me insane. This is another symptom of diabetes, so it should clear up when meds kick in, but it just has slowed me down so much. Quiero darles las gracias a todos los que han estado orando por mí, y que me han apoyado muchísimo en este momento difícil con mi salud. Fui al médico ayer y me ha rezetado una medicina oral para mi diabetes y una medicina oral para mi colesterol. Aunque mi nivel de colesterol es normal, dijo que es una precaución para la gente como yo que están en mayor riesgo de accidentes cerebrovasculares y ataques cardíacos. También tengo mi glucómetro y estoy tomando mis niveles de azúcar en la sangre cada mañana cuando me levanto. Los medicamentos se llevan aproximadamente dos semanas para funcionar, ojala que funcionen a tiempo cuando regreso a trabajar 12 horas al día para cubrir el conductor de autobús que esta afuera hasta mediados de octubre (ademas de mi trabajo regular de supervisor). Vuelvo a la clinica dentro de seis semanas para otra serie de examines de sangre. De allí vamos a ver que pasa. También tengo que asistir a clases sobre cómo para el manejo de la diabetes. Una cosa que no he compartido con muchas personas, pero pero siento la necesidad de hacerlo, para que entienden porque no he estado en la computadora mucho es que además de siempre sentirme tan cansada es que estoy teniendo períodos de tiempo de visión borrosa. A veces estoy sentada enfrente de la computadora y quiero llorar, porque mis ojos me están volviendo loca. Este es otro de los síntomas de la diabetes, por debe de aclararse cuando los medicamentos toman afecto.
