I want to thank my Snail Mail family for the prayers, cheer, and support these past few weeks. It just goes to show what a special bunch of people you all are. I will surely miss contact with you when I shut down Snail Mail, but maybe I can keep the facebook page up awhile for us to communicate with each other? I wanted to update you that my husband is recovering nicely and started back to work this week as tolerated (too soon, I think). I certainly dont miss giving him IVs and changing the dressing on his incisions 3 times a day! He had sepsis which came on suddenly and was very scary, but he is starting to annoy me again so I know he is feeling better. :) I did manage to get the July cards out and am even almost finished with the August cards. Working on the cards gave me peace of mind. I do plan on continuing to send cards to a few nursing homes on my own after the organization is discontinued as time allows, and I have about 6 people who have volunteered to take over one of the residences. If anyone else would like an address of a place where you can continue to send mail, let me know, otherwise maybe send off some cards to a nursing home near you whenever your time allows. I am sure they will find happy recipients for them. Thanks again ... I could not have imagined a better group of people to have worked with throughout the years.
