I wanted to give an update on my daughter, Gina. First and foremost. Gina and I would like to Thank all of our friends for the prayers, they have been appreciated so much. She is still at UK Hospital and is very depressed right now. They are still giving her IV antibiotics, but they are waiting for one more biopsy from the cultures they did and find out what kind of infection it is, so they will know how to treat her. I dont understand why she got such a bad infection after all of her surgeries, but the doctors cant tell us anything until they get the cultures back. She is very uncomfortable, and I just pray they can find out what antibiotic to give her to clear this up. They are thinking about putting a pic-line in and sending her home so home health can come out and administer her IV antibiotics. For those of you that dont know what happened to Gina, she was involved in an automobile accident, it wasnt her fault. Gina was going east on 80 and someone turned left right in front of her and they airlifted her to UK.. that is a phone call you never want to get and she had surgery that night and they did a MRI at 1:30 the next morning to see if they had it set right and they didnt and they had to do surgery again on Saturday, and she has had two surgeries since then, and she has gotten a really bad infection, and they cant figure out what kind of infection it is, so therefore, they dont know what antibiotics to treat her with. It crushed her right foot and her ankles, the Doctors told us it was really bad, and it hurt her leg from the knee down. She is very uncomfortable, and she cant put any weight on it at all. I would love for you to continue to pray for Gina for comfort, and be with the Doctors, and also pray for a successful recovery. We surely would appreciate the prayers, she really needs them right now. May God Bless each one of you and Love to all of my friends.
