I wanted to share a pleasant experience I had with the Belton Police today. I was on my way to a service call, where some one was having car trouble, at the Office Max on 58 Hwy. in Belton. and was trying to get there as fast as I could, with a low tank of gas. Well... I ran out of gas just a block away from where I was trying to go. Luckily, it was right next to the Advance Auto Parts store. So I went there to buy a gas can so I could walk up to Quick Trip to get some gas.When I came out of Advance there was a cop with his red lights on behind my truck. I walked over to the cop and he said he would run me up to Quick Trip to get gas. Which was a 1/2 mile away. So he took me up there and I got my gas and he parked behind my truck again with his lights on and said he would stay there until I got going so no one would run into me. I couldnt believe how conversational and friendly he was. It was just like a friend helping a friend. I couldnt believe it ! The moral of the story...Regardless of all the bad media the cops are getting, there really are good cops. And I forgot to get his name !
