I wanted to share this poem I wrote awhile back. Dealing with many emotions lately. As poets, I think you can relate. We write with our hearts. Tears A drop of emotion as it slips down the cheek Could be one of sadness or joy as I speak The heart is so fragile but sometimes so strong As it longs for the past and looks towards a new song Nothing stays the same in this game of life Like the tree willow it bends with the winds of time Look for the circle of life in the body of the tree As the hawk carries forth with no gravity when it flies As hollow thy soul or thy soul will it hollow? Make its way to the top of the stairs in heaven The lone star as it twinkles to the right of the moon Marks that a new moon will emerge for us soon So I end this with one single thought tonight My arms held up to the heavens afar Fill me with light and love tonight please Let it heal as I sleep until morning.
