I was a little kid when my father left for Vietnam. On the morning - TopicsExpress

I was a little kid when my father left for Vietnam. On the morning he left, my mother squeezed my hand and I felt her tears fall onto my fingers as my father saluted, turned on his heel, and boarded the plane headed to serve. On this Veterans Day, I’d like to honor my father, as well as all of the men and women in uniform, past and present, whose service and courage can teach us so much about patriotism, honor, and duty. My father, Warren Paxton, served 21 years in the Air Force. Thank you, Dad.
