I was at USF today and I got taking to a Chabad hasid. He didnt know I was Muslim at first and it seems he was under the impression that I wanted to convert to Judaism. Obviously the conversation reached a point of disagreement when it got on the topic of Israel and Netanyahu, but he was a nice guy about it and kept it civil. One thing that strikes me through is that it seems there are some similarities between Islamic mysticism/spirituality and Hasidism. Had anyone else noticed this?
