I was explaining to a young colleague of mine once that there are a few books that must be read (and NOT just see the movies) before one reaches maturity. These books are: Brave New World - Aldous Huxley Animal Farm - George Orwell 1984 - George Orwell Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein Starship Troopers - Robert Heinlein Repent, Harlequin, said the Ticktockman (short story) - Harlan Ellison I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (short story) - Harlan Ellison Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand And just for fun: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams These are the ones that warped my present sense of reality (?). Any additions or corrections?
