I was finally able to watch the first serial with the 5th Doctor yesterday. Castrovalva In just that first adventure I noticed a few things that Im almost certain influenced David Tennants role. Both of their regeneration episodes were very similar. The Doctor is incapacitated/in and out of consciousness for a majority of the time. Theres a lot of him figuring out who hes become. Then theres the more subtle things like the high top shoes and the spectacles (which Tennant addresses in Time Crash). I just finished the first episode of Four to Doomsday and Im already a huge fan of this Doctor! Now that Davison is more up and about Im seeing so much more Tennant. Hands in the pocket, coat behind his arms with a little swagger in his walk, witty retorts that seem to just been blown over like they were never said and the way he snoops about when checking out a new place. I swear, Im just waiting for him to lick something. That happens and Im going to freak out. So far 5 stars for Doctor 5. #DoctorWho #PeterDavison #5thDoctor #Castrovalva #FourtoDoomsday #DavidTennant
