I was honored this evening to speak at the South Pacific Conference of the Wesleyan Church. I got to see a committed group of young people lead us in worship, a Fijian choir sing a powerful hymn, a Tongan dance done only by girls to depict their promise to follow Christ, and several other culturally unique expressions of worship. I got to encourage Christ followers using the story of David and Goliath from 1 Samuel 17. When we face our giants, we dont face them alone. When we defeat our giants, it is not by our own strength or for our own glory. I love the fact that KCC has had a role to play in encouraging the work God is up to in New Zealand.
