I was in a business competition with the Knoxville Chamber called Whats the Big Idea! I didnt win the last round but I did win the final round! I had my family and friends there (Jeff Rankin Maples, Bill Bill Sams, Suzanne James, Shalonda Robinson, Darla Rowell Zorn, Tim Anito and Rich Deforest). I was mentored by Sean Carson and Guille Cruze, learned amazing ideas on business plans and pitches. I was honored by many people. But most of all, Gods favor on my life through all of this! Then I got to hang out afterwards with Sho and Jacque Brimner Bunch on Market Square! And I came home and read a text from my son, a verse of encouragement. Hes never done that! So, here is what he sent! We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. (NLT) ( 2 Corinthians 4:8 ) We may feel the pressure, stress, and pain of troubles. Its ever presence always beating on us and reminding us without peace. However, this verse has hope. Its the hope we receive that all is not lost. It is hope that our loving God knows us by name, sees what we are going through and rescues us. When finances are tight, arguments occur often, or theres a lack of peace, do not let yourself be driven to despair. God is our hope!
