I was on a date at a Japanese sushi place probably 10 years ago and wanted to impress with my sake ordering skills. The menu was all Japanese, so I ordered two large steaming cups of the second cheapest sake. Unfortunately, the second cheapest sake at this particular joint was hiresake which is blowfish flavored. There are even spare fins floating in it for extra goodness! We both tried a sip but it was as awful as youd expect, so that was 20 bucks down the tubes and one unimpressed date.
