I was once a Free Man! 😉 I know my dream and I did everything to have touched it. It wasnt exactly an easy journey. I was directed to another path I dreaded. My weakness was highlighted, but my diligence proved to be an asset. I was surrounded by people who trusted me. They believed that I can do more. And they gave me the chance that changed my life. I struggled day in and day out. My life revolved around my responsibilities and my mission. Had many downs but mostly ups. I got accustomed to the uncommon life. Was beaten beyond words, but learned things money can never buy. Met people from all walks of life. Shared their laughs, tears, and aspirations. Life derailed me for a second from the challenging life. But my soul was in ferment. It longed for a life it has accustomed to. I gave up my brief detour and returned to my old life, simple and far more thrilling. I appealed for a chance and was granted. I dreamed a life with the favorable chance. But destiny had its own plans. A mistake changed everything and created my simple sweet life more challenging. My dream was cut short. The door shut and tears rolled. Only I never had regrets, but only thanks for the oldest newspaper in Cebu. Thank you very much to The Freeman! Happy 95th Birthday!
