I was reading through some old letters tonight and I wanted to share something Stephen wrote me a while ago regarding a conversation between him and Dave (his best friend) and it is really something to think about... We have been locked up for 17 yrs, since we were 17 yrs old, surrounded by the worst people of this world and yet we have grown up and become highly morally principled men when it would have been so easy to fall into all the negative unsound activities that surround us. Doesnt that show just how good and true we actually are? And I can tell you its not easy facing all this day after day. Ive wanted to give up and fall into that uncaring violence that comes so easily in here. But after its all said and done that is just not me. That is not who I am. Ive never really been that type of person. I just happened to get caught up in a situation and made a series of really bad horrible decisions.
