I was really looking forward to taking my girls to a celebration of people-power in George Square tonight, or, in the case of a negative result, taking them to a dawn of a New Scotland on Saturday. Unfortunately, due to mistakenly unforeseen circumstances, this is clearly not possible in todays modern Scotland, despite being born here, paying taxes here and being part of nearly 50 per cent of those who voted for change, it seems I, or people who are like-minded arent welcome in the city, or country, of my birth. Thank you to those of the 55 per cent who voted no, to those who are dyed-in-the-wool loyalists or traditional Tory-voters, I cannot preach to the unconvertible. To those who were swayed by the obvious media lies, Im sure you acted in your best intentions and, even though I have no need for this recourse, I absolve you from any outside blame as you obviously believe every single syllable of each word you read in the daily mono-tribe which is force-fed to you on a daily basis. However, for those no-voters who were swayed by the fear of the unknown, a fear of what doesnt, and never did exist, I blame you for sparking what happened tonight in the city-centre of one of the most friendliest groups of people on our planet. Events which strangely seem to have occurred outwith the far-reaching radar of the BBC which we, every single one of us, pays for, The reason why I wont take my girls out tomorrow is the exact same reason why I didnt take them into my own city centre on July 10...think about it...think about your own children..about their freedom within their own communities, never mind their own minds or country. There hopefully will be changes ahead, and, in those that are needed, we warmly embrace our English cousins in forging the way forward...but, the BIG but is, can we warmly embrace each other...I fully believe that those who want to will do it...to those who wont, maybe they told us in George Square tonight.
