I was tagged by Tom Swadley to list the 10 albums that have most influenced me. A challenge worthy of any music lover! I always say that if I hadnt spent so much time listening to music I might have amounted to something in life. Here they are in no particular order: 1. Rubber Soul - The Beatles 2. Are You Experienced - Jimi Hendrix 3. In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson 4. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Genesis 5. Close to the Edge - Yes 6. Disraeli Gears - Cream 7. Innervisions - Stevie Wonder 8. Notorious Byrd Brothers - The Byrds 9. Words of Earnest - Goose Creek Symphony 10. Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Yes, its heavy on British progressive rock and for that I make no apologies. Rick Wakeman said that prog is the music nobody wants to admit to liking, but I sure do enjoy it to this day. I would have preferred a list of 20 albums to really make it complete, but this gives a good account of what I enjoy. Now I REALLY want to hear from Brian Ledford on this, but no way can he keep it down to ten albums.
