I went to the South Hills to test out my new snowshoes and they did a wonderful job. I stopped by a few places on the stream on the way up the canyon and then headed up to Magic Mountain Ski Hill area. As I was wondering up the trail just parallel to the ski hill, I noticed that the only other tracks beside mine were this cougar. With two people, you only have to be faster than the other person, but by yourself, you get to wondering if a cougar would eat a slightly over-fed post-holiday photographer.
