I will like to know the ruling on entering the toilet with phone whose screen saver is Allahu Akbar written in arabic. Praise be to Allaah. The majority of scholars are of the view that it is makrooh to enter the toilet with anything in which Allaah is mentioned, except in cases of necessity, such as coins on which the name of Allaah is inscribed. A number of scholars stated that if that is hidden, then there is nothing wrong with it in that case. Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: If a person wants to enter the toilet and he has with him something in which Allaah is mentioned, it is mustahabb to put it aside… if he keeps the thing in which Allaah is mentioned with him and is careful not to let it fall, or he turns the stone of the ring towards the inside of his palm, there is nothing wrong with that. Ahmad said: If a ring has the name of Allaah on it and he turns it towards the inside of his palm, and enters the toilet (that is permissible). ‘Ikrimah said: He should turn it like this towards the inside of his palm, and fold his fist over it. This was also the view of Ishaaq, and the same concession was granted by Ibn al-Musayyib, al-Hasan and Ibn Sireen. Ahmad said concerning a man who enters the toilet carrying coins: I hope that there is nothing wrong with it. End quote fromal-Mughni, 1/109 Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: what is the ruling on entering the washroom with papers on which there is the name of Allaah? He replied: It is permissible to enter the washroom with papers on which is the name of Allaah, so long as they are in a pocket and are not out in the open, rather they are hidden and covered. End quote fromFataawa al-Tahaarah, p. 109 Based on this, there is nothing wrong with entering the toilet with a mobile phone on whose screen is the phrase “Allaahu akbar”, so long as you put it in your pocket, so that it is not out in the open. And Allaah knows best. . اگر كسى شخص كے پاس موبائل سكرين پر عربى ميں اللہ اكبر لكھا ہو تو كيا اس كے ليے بيت الخلاء ميں موبائل سيٹ لے جانا جائز ہے ؟ الحمد للہ: جمہور فقھاء كرام نے اللہ كے ذكر پر مشتمل كوئى بھى چيز بغير ضرورت بيت الخلاء ميں لے جانى مكروہ قرار دى ہے، مثلا اللہ كے نام پر مشتمل كرنسى اور روپے. فقھاء كرام كى ايك جماعت نے بيان كيا ہے كہ جب وہ اسے چھپا كر ركھى تو پھر كوئى حرج نہيں. ابن قدامہ رحمہ اللہ تعالى كہتے ہيں: اگر كسى كے پاس اللہ كے نام پر مشتمل كوئى چيز ہو تو بيت الخلاء جاتے وقت اسے باہر ركھنا مستحب ہے.... اور اگر اللہ كے ذكر پر مشتمل چيز كو محفوظ كرے، اور اسے گرنے سے بچا كر ركھے، يا پھر انگوٹھى كا نگينہ اندر كى جانب كر لے تو اس ميں كوئى حرج نہيں. امام احمد رحمہ اللہ كہتے ہيں: اگر انگوٹھى ميں اللہ كا نام لكھا ہو وہ اسے اپنى ہتھيلى والى طرف گھما كر بيت الخلاء چلا جائے. اور عكرمہ رحمہ اللہ كہتے ہيں: اسے اس طرح اپنى ہتھيلى كے اندر والى طرف كر كے ہاتھ بند كرلو، اسحاق رحمہ اللہ نے بھى ايسا ہى كہا ہے، اور ابن مسيب اور حسن، اور ابن سيرين رحمہم اللہ نے اس كى رخصت دى ہے. امام احمد درھم لے كر بيت الخلاء جانے والے شخص كے متعلق كہتے ہيں: مجھے اميد ہے كہ اس ميں كوئى حرج نہيں انتہى. ماخوذ از: المغنى ابن قدامہ ) 1 / 109 (. شيخ ابن عثيمين رحمہ اللہ تعالى سے درج ذيل سوال كيا گيا: اللہ تعالى كے نام پر مشتمل اوراق لے كر بيت الخلاء ميں جانے كا حكم كيا ہے ؟ شيخ رحمہ اللہ كا جواب تھا: جب يہ اللہ كے نام پر مشتمل اوراق جيب ميں ہوں، اور ظاہر نہ ہوں، بلكہ مخفى اور چھپے ہوئے ہوں تو بيت الخلا ميں لے جانا جائز ہيں انتہى ديكھيں: فتاوى الطہارۃ صفحہ نمبر ) 109 (. اس بنا پر اللہ اكبر كے الفاظ پر مشتمل سكرين والا موبائل جيب ميں ڈال كر لے جانے ميں كوئى حرج نہيں، وہ ظاہر نہ ہوتا ہو، بلكہ جيب ميں ہو. . اعجاز حاجی
