I wish I could go back in time. We fought for environmental protection and endangered species. DDT was banned and the endangered species act was enacted. We thought we had won so we let our guards down. We never envisioned the evils that lay before us. Big businesses so large that they can influence government decisions through monetary means to the point of being put above the law and the heath of mankind. If I could go back in time, I would not seek out lost loves or change events for personal gain. I would do my best to educate about the evils and potential of Genetically altering life. I would enlighten generations that to modify any life form, plant or animal, will create a species that may resemble what we are familiar with but is in fact completely different and the new species will seek out and destroy every last remaining survivor of that original species and destroy it forever. But I can not go back. We were young and foolish for easing up on our environmental fight. But I am here now and so are you. I, along with millions of others, are trying our best to educate about the dangers of the future if these atrocities continue. This knowledge and foresight comes through decades of living and observing the chains of events since the early 60s. DO not allow yourself to one day say "If I could go back in time." You are here now, you are warned, you have the voice and the power to make change just as we did in the 60s. On this day of recognition of all those that fought for our freedom to contradict government policies, for our freedom of speech and assembly, stand up and be heard! Let our veterans know and be proud that the sacrifices they made for our freedoms were not in vain. STOP GMO production while we still can.
