I wish I didnt agree. I wish there was another way. I wish that Hamas had accepted the additional four hours of ceasefire that Israel offered. I wish that Hamas would stop throwing tantrums and start listening. Israel doesnt have many options. We dont have a peace partner. According to what we know from the last nine years, if we stop fighting now, the rockets will start raining down again in a few months. And God forbid, if that happens, Ill be sure to publish every one of them here and on twitter. Because once the ground offensive ends and the press goes home, we have to keep telling the facts. And the facts are that there are millions of Israelis who have been traumatized by these rockets--for years. Every month. Every week. Sometimes more. But without the excitement of war on the split screen? I dont think that the story will get attention. Do you? Another rocket just aimed at my office is in the air. Right now.
