I wish I had a photo or video to document something that I saw at my Kroger store this morning, but alas, Im too slow. Setting the scene: My Kroger has several employees with some sort of physical disability. All of these employees function fully, and are excellent workers. My favorite employee is one of these. I think hes totally deaf, but he makes up for it by being more observant and more attentive than most. So, todays story involves this particular employee. He was reshelving some merchandise, when all of a sudden he started gesturing animatedly to another worker, in the meat department. He made a fluttering sign with his hands, and pointed down an aisle. I looked to where he was pointing, and there was a little bird sitting there on the floor. He held up 4 fingers, so I assume that it was the fourth one he had seen. I had heard a bird in there earlier. I see/hear birds all the time at Lowes, but not at Kroger.
