I wish people would take the time (or MORE time even) to get to know others.... instead of ALWAYS assuming that they know this person or their reactions before they have EVEN had a chance to show or prove their colors. It is frustrating and it hurts.... especially when you feel like you have taken the time to get to know them and given them a chance, too. There is STILL good in humanity, but if WE cant trust others or HOPE for the good in people (or even FORGIVE for that matter) - then how is this world, our relationships (whether past, present or in the future), our walk with Christ OR our ATTITUDE EVER going to change? We have to be the CHANGE that we wish to see in the world! How many times do we ASSUME things about others AND its actually right? NOT very often. Theres a reason why there is a saying about people that ASSUME... we are so QUICK to judge and slow to anger. BUT... that is what makes GOD sooooooooo AMAZING!!! He sees us how we REALLY are!!! ...at our best AND our worst, and He still chooses to LOVE us!!! NOT because He HAS to... but because He really and truly cares for us and our well being. We love because HE first loved us. We are made in HIS image and its about time that we ALL started acting like it! We all KNOW that we are going to mess up and fail and hurt others, and He knows that, too. Not that we WANT to, but because WE ARE HUMAN and HE IS THE ONLY PERFECT ONE! He will NEVER FAIL us or GIVE UP on us! HE IS CONSISTENT!!! He does NOT just look at us and say... yup, that is one screwed up person! Im done helping, loving, caring and providing for them. No more grace. No more mercy. INSTEAD HE SAYS ...MY grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) So as you go throughout your day(s), stop and think before you are quick and rash to come to a decision about someone or something. Talk with God before you talk with them. He will never lead you astray. “He will delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay.” (Isaiah 11:3) “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” (James 1:19) “Don’t jump to conclusions – there may be a perfectly good explanation for what you just saw.” (Proverbs 25:8) “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.” (Luke 6:31) “For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14)
