I wonder what investigations the JFSC are carrying out into the rigged fx markets which is likely to net the UK regulator £1.2 billion (or somewhere between 2% and 10% of the profit which the banks made on these trades). Not one banker will be jailed. The seven banks involved [at this stage] are: Barclays PLC HSBC Holdings PLC Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC UBS AG Citigroup J.P. Morgan Chase Bank of America Corp. Bank of America Bank of America has set aside $29 billion this quarter to deal with claims from customers arising from the investigation. Obviously, as Jersey is the best regulated financial centre in the world, we can expect to see fines levied here too? That would certainly help our government. Whats that you say? No chance?
