I work part-time in the vitamins section of a busy pharmacy...This poem is a insight into A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A VITAMINS RETAILER. Its a bit cheeky...no offense intended!! What do you sell that will help make me thin? A quick easy fix that will make me look trim. A miracle pill to burn fat off my thighs, that will work on my abs while I still eat my fries. Eat well and be active? I don’t understand. Just give me a shake that doesn’t taste bland. Oh wait, while you’re at it, what else can I take to stop me from craving a sugary taste? My energy in exceeds energy out? Nah, that’s not my problem…It’s my liver no doubt. I eat really healthy, no honest I do. This coke in my hand is…uh…for my friend, uh, Sue. Now, do you sell that stuff that was on Dr Oz? It’s the newest thing out, guaranteed for weight loss. What’s in it you ask? I’m not really sure. It’s a little brown tablet, and you take up to four. What do you mean ‘does it back up its claims?’ Oh, like science and stuff? Well it’s endorsed by big names. Kim Kardashian takes it. Elle MacPherson does too, and they showed these hot models who were all a size two. What do you mean the photos are “shopped”? It’s these tablets for sure that have made them this hot. Ugh…still with the exercise? Look, I just don’t have time. I’d rather just take a tablet…or nine. So, how fast will they work? Will I notice a change within a few hours, or at least a few days? Do they work if I still keep my habits of past? ‘Cause I’d rather not do more than sit on my arse. Now lastly, what’s a good multi for me? Something that’s high in Vitamin C. Eat healthy you say?
