I would like to address everything I have been reading about Bowe Bergdahl. It may be very well and true that he did desert his unit and join with the Taliban. That would be a despicable thing to do, especially during war. A trade for his life for 5 Taliban at gitmo would not be acceptable.The thing is you really dont know what happened. Many unconfirmed stories and secret documents are surfacing now he has been brought back and everyone is eating it up as complete truth. If all of this was unintentional, and he was captured, you better believe that was one of the worst experiences a human can endure. Daily torture and mind games can make anyone admit to anything, its just a matter of time. Everyone behind their keyboards should remember that. And negotiating with terrorist? Typically no. But prisoner exchange is something that has been done for a very very long time. With the Soviet Union and China ( both known for mass murder in the 10s of millions in their governments history we have made concessions to get people back. So maybe all of this is all true, maybe Bergdahl is a traitor and his dad hates the USA, maybe not and its fabricated, maybe something in the middle. The point is you dont know...maybe wait until all the facts are out there. Just my thoughts
